(a):- At present, States which are air linked with Maharashtra are Andhra Pradesh, Bihar,
Chhatisgarh, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh,
Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
(b):- State capitals which are air linked with Mumbai are Bhubaneshwar, Bhopal, Bangalore,
Koikata, Delhi, Panji (Goa), Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Jammu/Srinagar, Ranchi, Jaipur, Lucknow,
Chennai, Patna, Raipur and Trivandrum.
(c) to (e):- Cities having air link with Nagpur are
Delhi, Pune, Nanded, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Indore, Raipur and Koikata.
Operations in the domestic sector have been deregulated and flights are being operated
by concerned airlines on the basis of commercial viability subject to adherence of Route
Dispersal Guidelines. Government has laid down Route Dispersal Guidelines with a view to
achieve better regulation of air transport services taking into account the need for air
connectivity of different regions of the country including the North-East region. It is,
however, up to the airlines to provide air services to specific places depending upon the
traffic demand and commercial viability while complying with the Route Dispersal Guidelines.
