to reply given to Unstarred Question No. 5538 on March 7, 2002 regarding purchase for stores and state:
(a) whether his Ministry asked DoP&T to reinvestigate the reasons of selling computers by Kendriya Bhandar at suggested retail price than the price approved by the Bhandar in their files and for those charged to Cabinet Secretariat and not showing the sales tax and extended warranty in the invoices;
(b) whether the Kendriya Bhandar supplied gateway photocopier paper to CAO which were not specifically indented than supplying the lowest priced paper as per the policy of the Bhandar thereby causing financial loss to the State; and
(c) if so, the steps taken in this regard?
