Question : Central Assistance Scheme for ST

(a) the details of the grants-in-aid being provided under Special Central Assistance Scheme to Tribal Sub-Scheme (SCA-TSS) to Scheduled Tribes by the Government in the country including Rajasthan;
(b) the details of the amount provided to Rajasthan under this Scheme during the last three years;
(c) whether the Government proposes to increase this grants-in-aid, if so, the details thereof; and
(d) whether the Union Government has received proposals from the Rajasthan Government in this regard and if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): The details of the funds released to the State Governments including the State of Rajasthan during last three years under the scheme of SCA to TSS is furnished vide Annexure.

(c): Grants-in-aid under the scheme of SCA to TSS is provided to the State Governments according to their share of allocation out of total allotment under the scheme. The share of allocation of the State is arrived at on the basis of following criteria:
(i) 2/3rd weightage to proportion of ST population in the State as per latest census to total ST population.
(ii) 1/3rd weightage to proportion of tribal dominated areas (i.e. Districts where tribal population is 25% or more and LWE affected Districts).
(d): Based on the proposals received from the Government of Rajasthan under the scheme of SCA to TSS, an amount of Rs.5911.00 lakh has been approved for the year 2020-21 so far.
