(a) whether the private companies selling food and other edible items online serve meals and snacks to passengers illegally in the trains;
(b) if so, whether any investigation has been conducted against such fraudulant companies;
(c) if so, the details of traders and officers of the railway catering department found guilty of such malpractices; and
(d) the details of the action taken against them?

(a) to (d): Yes, Madam. Some unauthorised E-catering traders selling food and other edible items online serve meals and snacks to passengers illegally in the trains. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has filed legal cases against three unauthorised E-catering traders viz. Rail Yatri.in, Traveller Food & Travel Zaika.
