Question : Construction of Houses under PMAY-U in Maharashtra

(a) whether the Government has approved construction of new houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) in the recent past in the State of Maharashtra and if so, the details thereof;

(b) the details of funds sanctioned and released to Maharashtra for the said purpose district-wise; and

(c) the details of houses under construction under PMAY-U as on date in Maharashtra along with the details of funds sanctioned, released and utilized so far for construction of such houses, district-wise and the time by which these houses are likely to be completed?

(a) Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U), so far, 13,52,471 houses have been sanctioned for the State of Maharashtra, which includes 68,593 houses sanctioned in 53rd CSMC meeting held on 22.02.2021.

(b)&(c) The district-wise detail of houses sanctioned as well as funds sanctioned, released and utilised is annexed as Annexure. All States/Union Territories, including State of Maharashtra, have been advised to complete the sanctioned projects/houses within the stipulated timeline.
