(a) whether 24 Doordarshan transmitter centres constructed at different places are not
operational even after their works are technically complete;
(b) if so, the date on which the work of those transmitter centres were completed;
(c) the action taken to depute staff in those places; and
(d) the time by which staff would be deputed to these places ?

(a) & (b): Twenty nine low power transmitters of Doordarshan are presently technically
ready for commissioning. These transmitters were completed, in phases, over the last
two years.
(c) & (d): It is Prasar Bharati`s endeavour to commission these transmitters at the
earliest possible by redeployment of staff.
