Question : SECOND PHASE OF MMTS FOR HYDERABAD AND SECUNDERABAD

(a) whether the Government of Andhra Pradesh has agreed to contribute 2/3 of the cost for the second phase of Multi-Model Transport System (MMTS) for the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Railways have accorded sanction to the said project;

(d) if so, the details thereof; and

(e) if not, the reasons for not giving sanction to the said project and the time by which the sanction to the project is likely to be accorded?

(a) Yes, Sir.

(b) The Government of Andhra Pradesh has agreed in principle to contribute 2/3 of the cost for the second phase of Multi-Model Transport System for the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

(c) The proposal is still under consideration.
