Will the Minister of Electronics & Information Technology be pleased to state: -
(a) the details of the villages digitized by the Government in the State of Gujarat so far, district-wise;
(b) the funds allocated to Gujarat for digitization of the said villages so far; and
(c) the facilities being provided at present in the above-mentioned digital villages?
(a): Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) initiated the Digital Village Pilot project on 31st October 2018 covering 700 Gram Panchyats/villages across the country under the pilot implementation which includes 33 Gram Panchayats (GP)/villages of Gujarat, one each from the 33 districts in Gujarat. District wise list of the Gram Panchayats/villages is enclosed at Annexure.
(b): The Digital Village Pilot Project is being implemented across India through CSC e-Governance Service India Limited under the Digital India Scheme which is a Central Sector Scheme of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The tentative funds requirement for the State of Gujarat, under the project for three years to cover 33 Gram Panchayat/villages is approximately Rs.326.70lakhs.
(c): The project is provisioning the services of - Health – Tele-Health & Tele-Veterinary consultation, Education, Financial Inclusion Awareness Programme, Skill Development and Solar panel powered street lights (8 lights per village) including Government to Citizens Services (G2C), B2C Services.
