(a) whether the Government has convened a meeting of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) directors to negotiate and possible dilute some controversial provision of proposed bill that gives the Government sweeping powers over the premier institutions;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government had also sought feedback on the said Bill; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): A consultation meeting was held on 9th October 2015 with the Directors of Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) to discuss and get feedback on the provisions of the proposed IIM Bill.
(c) & (d): The draft Bill was posted on the website of this Ministry and feedback was received from all stakeholders including general public suggesting changes in various provisions of the draft Bill.
