Question : Construction of Multi-storeyed Buildings

Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has made changes in the policy for construction of multi-storeyed buildings in Delhi;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the details of the minimum and maximum limit of land provided for multi-storeyed buildings in Delhi;
(d) whether there is any provision for any relaxation in construction of multi-storeyed projects in Lal Dora regions of the villages; and
(e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 53 FOR 06.02.2018 REGARDING CONSTRUCTION OF MULTI-STOREYED BUILDINGS

(a) to (c): Yes, Madam. Vide notification dated 04.03.2014, a provision has been made in the Master Plan of Delhi-2021(MPD-2021) regarding high rise buildings which provides as follows:
“Buildings taller than 15 m (without stilt) and 17.5 m (including stilt) in all use zones will be considered as a High Rise Building”.
The height of such buildings and the size of the plot/land is to be governed by the development control norms as provided for different use premises in MPD-2021.

(d) & (e): No specific relaxation has been provided for high rise buildings in Lal Dora areas of the villages. However, as per MPD-2021, against a minimum plot size of 3000 sqm. in case of Residential Plot – Group Housing, it is 1670 sqm. in village Lal Dora and extended Lal Dora.
