Question : PMGSY Funds for Uttar Pradesh

(a) the details of the schemes sanctioned for Uttar Pradesh under the third phase of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY);

(b) the details of the approved roads in Sitapur distrct of Uttar Pradesh, location-wise; and

(c) whether there is any such scheme in Uttar Pradesh which is lying pending due to paucity of funds and if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) The State of Uttar Pradesh has been allocated 18,937.5 km road length under the third phase of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), against which the State has already been sanctioned 2,534 road works of 18,770 km and 5 bridges. In the Sitapur District, 64 road works of 509.36 Km road length have been sanctioned. The Block-wise details of road works sanctioned in Sitapur District is at Annexure.

(c) No Sir, there is no paucity of funds under PMGSY in Uttar Pradesh. As on 01.04.2022, the state had an unspent balance of Rs.531.53 crore (excluding Security Deposits) and Rs.499 crore central funds were released to the state during the financial year 2022-23. Unspent balances as on 20th July, 2022 (including state share) with the state is Rs. 676.90 crore.
