Question : ESIC Dispensaries

(a)the number of Employees'' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) dispensaries functioning in the country at present, State/ UT-wise;
(b)whether the Government proposes to increase the number of ESIC dispensaries in the country;
(c)if so, the details thereof; and
(d)if not, the reasons therefor?

(a): The number of Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) dispensaries functioning in the country as on 31.03.2016 is 1467. State/UT-wise details is at Annexure.
(b)&(C): Setting up of new dispensaries is an ongoing programme. The following dispensaries are at different stages of approval:
