In addition to the locations pending from previous Marketing plans, 927 retail outlet dealerships have been included in the marketing plan 1996-98. Locations included in the marketing plan are advertised by the Oil companies from time to time for selection of dealers through the Dealer Selection Boards. It generally takes about 6-12 months for commissioning of the dealerships from the date of interview. De-regulation of petroleum sector is scheduled from April, 2002. Retail Outlet Marketing Plan beyond 2002 has not been prepared.
