(a) the details of pending appointments on compassionate grounds in the Navodaya Vidyalayas
during the last three years and the present year, post-wise and year-wise; and
(b) the steps taken/likely to be taken by the Government to fill up these vacancies?

(a) : Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has informed that during the last three years and the present
year, the details of pending appointments on compassionate grounds, post wise and year wise are as
under:

(b): Till date, NVS has given 258 appointments on compassionate grounds as per their eligibility in
different categories. Presently, no vacancies under compassionate appointment quota are available in
NVS.
