Question : Welfare Schemes for Miority Commuities

(a) the details of allocation of money for the welfare schemes for the minority communities, scholarship schemes, Naya Savera - Free Coaching and Allied Scheme, Nai Udaan - Support for students for preparation of main examination who clear prelims conducted by UPSC/SSC, State Public Service Commission, Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK), USTTAD (Upgrading the Skills and Training in Traditional Arts/ Crafts for Development) etc.;
(b) the funds allocated, released and utilised under the various schemes for the welfare of minorities in the country during each of the last three years and the current year, State and scheme-wise;
(c) the target set and achieved these under during the said period, State and scheme-wise; and
(d) whether the funds allocated under these schemes have not been fully utilised by the State Governments during the above said period?

(a) & (b) Information is at Annexure I. No State-wise allocation is done in the Budget.

(c) & (d) The details of physical target and achievement under scholarship schemes and Padho Pardesh during 2018-19 to 2020-21 are at Annex- II to VI. State-wise allocation of target is not made in some of the schemes being implemented by the Ministry.
Under Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakaram (PMJVK) scheme, no physical target are being set. Projects for providing infrastructure for education, Health, skill etc to either fill the gaps of existing schemes or to provide additional facilities through innovative projects are approved on the demand received from the States/UTs as per their requirement and felt need.




The details of projects approved under scheme since its inception includes 180 Residential Schools, 3059 School Buidlings, 43155 ACRs, 1372 Hostels, 207 ITI, 57 Polytechnics, 24 Working Women Hostel, 5606 Health Projects, 41507 Anganwadi Centres, 410 Sadbhav Mandaps and 164 Common Service Center etc. in the identified Minority Concentration Areas under PMJVK/erstwhile MsDP. Under USTTAD Scheme, 16332 artisans were allocated and training of 6930 artisans was completed during the last three years.
Under Naya Savera(Free Coaching & Allied Scheme), 24977 students have been benefitted during the last three years.
Under Nai Udaan scheme, 3553 students have been provided financial support during the last three years.
