During the last three years, financial assistance has been given for bridging the gaps in infrastructure in West Bengal through one of the verticals of Khelo India Scheme of this Ministry, namely, ‘Utilization and creation/upgradation of sports infrastructure’. In addition, this Ministry through the Sports Authority of India (SAI) has also been running a SAI Regional Centre at Kolkata to identify and nurture talented sportspersons in West Bengal. The details of the above during the last three years are at Annexure.
