STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) & (b) OF LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 10 FOR ANSWER ON 02nd FEBRUARY, 2022 REGARDING “ TRADE INFRASTRUCTURE OF EXPORT SCHEME”.

(a) The Department of Commerce, Government of India is implementing a scheme namely ‘Trade Infrastructure for Export Scheme (TIES)’ w.e.f. FY 2017-18 with the objective of assisting Central and State Government agencies in the creation of appropriate infrastructure for growth of exports. Under the scheme, financial assistance in the form of grant-in-aid is provided to Central/State Government owned agencies for setting up or up-grading export infrastructure. The Scheme guidelines are available at https://commerce.gov.in/trade-promotion/trade-promotion-assistance/.

The scheme has been further extended for the period 2021-22 to 2025-26 with a total outlay of Rs 360 crore. A total of 51 projects having grant component of approx. Rs 548 crore, have been sanctioned under TIES till the end of January, 2022. Out of these projects, 13 projects are already completed.
