Question : Passenger Amenities at Mumbai Railway Stations

(a) the details of passenger amenities available at all the railway stations between Mumbai CST and Dhule of Central Railway;

(b) whether the Railways have any action plan to augment the existing facilities at all these railway stations of the zone; and

(c) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (c): Essential passenger amenities such as waiting hall, drinking water taps, toilets, seating arrangements, platform shelter & Foot Over Bridge etc. are available at Dadar, Thane, Igatpuri, Kasara, Devlali, Nasik Road, Niphad, Lasalgaon, Manmad, Nandgaon & Chalisgaon stations which fall in ‘A1’, ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ & ‘D’ categories. Passenger facilities such as waiting hall, drinking water taps, toilet & seating arrangements are available as per norms at Jamdha & Shirud stations which fall in ‘E’ category. Waiting hall, drinking water tap/hand pump & shady trees are available as per norms at Bhorasbudrukh, Rajmane, Mordad Tanda, Borvihir & Mohadi Pragane Laling halt stations. Further, augmentation/improvement of amenities at railway stations is a continuous process and is undertaken as per need, inter-se priority of works and availability of funds.
