(a) the funding pattern between the Central Government and the States under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA);
(b) whether the Central Government has given its share during the last three years and the current year to the States;
(c) if so, the details thereof, year/State/UT- wise including Madhya Pradesh; and
(d) the ratio of said funding in terms of Gross Domestic Product ?

(a) to (c): The existing fund sharing pattern for the centrally sponsored scheme of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) between Central and State Governments is in the ratio of 65:35 for all States except North Eastern Region States (NER) where it is 90:10, from the year 2010-11. Central funds are released in two or more installments to the States/Union Territories (UTs), depending on the State/UT’s opening balance, release of comme- nsurate state share, pace of expenditure, submi- ssion of audit reports and other such criteria laid down in the scheme. Details of central share released to States including Madhya Pradesh and UTs under the SSA scheme during the last three years and the current year are at Annexure.
(d): The available figures reveal that the public expenditure on education was 4.29% of the Gross Domestic Product in the year 2012-13.
