Question : Intercity Train

(a) whether a proposal has been accorded approval to run intercity train from Junagarh to Visakhapatnam;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether it is a fact that there is no stoppage of any express train at Nayapara Road and Rupra Road whereas Nayapara Road is the railway station of district headquarter;

(d) if so, whether any approval has been accorded to give stoppage of express trains at either of these stations; and

(e) if so, the details thereof?

(a) No, Sir.

(b) Does not arise.

(c) to (e) No, Sir. At present, Nawapara Road and Rupra Road stations are already being served by 4 pairs & 7 pairs of Mail/Express trains respectively. These are in addition to 3 pairs & 4 pairs of Passenger train services, serving the stations respectively. Besides, provision of stoppages on Indian Railways is an ongoing process.
