(a) to (d) Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) has notified 162 areas, where permission to abstract ground water to set up a new industry is not granted. State/UT-wise details of location of notified areas and the change in ground water levels are given at Annexure.
In the 162 notified areas, permission to abstract ground water through energized means is not accorded for any purposes other than drinking and domestic use.
