(a) Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation has informed that Mango Urban Area is presently served by a Water Treatment
Plant (WTP) of 5.5 Million Litres per Day (MLD) capacity. This is not sufficient for the present population of this
area.
A new WTP of 48 MLD is under construction which will serve this area.
(b) For laying of pipe line along NH-33 Drinking Water & Sanitation Department, Government of Jharkhand has submitted
a formal proposal to the Road Construction Department for allowing road stretch for laying of pipeline.
(c) As per information given by the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India, six months is
required to lay the pipeline along NH-33, after land use permission is granted.
(d) Details of the Scheme are as under:
