Question : DEVELOPMENTAL SCHEMES FOR SCHEDULED CASTE AREAS



(a) the number of proposals received by the Government for the development of Scheduled Caste areas during each of the last three years and the current year, State-wise including Madhya Pradesh;

(b) the action taken by the Government in this regard;

(c) the number of proposals lying pending with the Government, State-wise including Madhya Pradesh;

(d) the amount sanctioned and utilised by the State Governments during the said period; and

(e) the time by which these pending proposals are likely to be approved?

(a) (c) & (e): In the Financial Year (FY) 2012-13 and 2013-14, no proposal was received under the Scheme of Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana, which aims at integrated development of SC majority village in the country. One proposal was received from the Government of Punjab, in the Financial Year 2014-15 for 100 such villages. In the current FY, no proposal has been received till date.

No proposal is pending with the Central Government.

(b) & (d) An amount of Rs 30 crores was released by the Central Government in FY 2014-15 as Central Assistance to the following States:
