(a) the number of Indian Police Service (IPS) officers who have been placed under
suspension or chargesheeted in various cases including corruption, crime and misuse
of power during each of the last three years and the current year, State-wise;
(b) whether some requests have been received from CBI/State Governments to
accord sanction for prosecution;
(c) if so, the details thereof and the total number of such requests received during the said
period, State-wise;
(d) whether the Government has taken note of some instances of dealy in according sanction
to CBI to prosecute the IPS officers; and
(e) if so, the steps taken to streamline the procedure for such sanction to avoid any delay?
