Question : HOLIDAY HOMES

(a) whether there is no Holiday Homes at Goa, Puri, Mt. Abu, Darjeeling, Gangtok, Kodaikanal, Srinagar, Madurai, Shillong` Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and Pondicherry till date for the Central Government Employees;

(b) if so, the reasons therefor;

(c) the time by which the facility is to be created at above places; and

(d) whether the rooms at Holiday Homes are also made available to retired Central Government Employees and if so, the reasons therefore, if not the reasons therefor?

(a): Yes, Sir. There are no Holiday Homes constructed and made operational in the cities/towns listed.

(b): The Holiday Homes at these cities/towns have not been constructed so far in view of non-availability of suitable land and budgetary support.

(c): No time frame has been prescribed for construction of Holiday Homes at these cities/Hill stations.

(d): The rooms at Holiday Homes are made available to the retired Central Government employees also if there is no requirement of serving Central Government employees.
