Question : Transformative Carbon Asset Facility

(a) whether the Government has received any assistance/funds from the Transformative Carbon Asset Facility (TCAF) launched by the World Bank to help developing countries pay for emission reduction and combat climate change;
(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether any developmental activities have been stopped for receiving the funds; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d) The Transformative Carbon Asset Facility (TCAF) is an initiative of four European countries Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the World Bank. It proposes a $ 500 million initiative for new ways to create incentives aimed at large scale cut in greenhouse gases. TCAF plans to start operations in 2016. So far, India has not received any funding from TCAF.
