(a) whether the Government has planned road-widening projects in the North Eastern States of Meghalaya, Manipur and Mizoram to improve connectivity with Bangladesh and Myanmar;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the extent to which these projects are likely to benefit the people of North East?

(a) & (b). Yes Sir. Details of road improvement plan in the North Eastern States of Meghalaya, Manipur and Mizoram to improve connectivity with Bangladesh and Myanmar are at Annexure-I;
(c). Ministry has an objective to fast pace construction of National Highways and other road infrastructure in the North Eastern Region and Strategic Areas of the country sharing international boundary. Such an all-weather road connectivity will lead to all round economic and social development of such remote areas by integrating the local population with the mainstream in a more robust manner.
