(a) whether the Government has any mechanism to assess the quality of services offered by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVKs);
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government provides financial assistance to the KVKs; and

(a) & (b): The quality of services offered by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVKs) is assessed regularly by holding meetings of Scientific Advisory Committee of KVKs and also State and Zonal Workshops. Besides, there is also a mechanism for assessing KVKs’ work by the Quinquennial Review Teams and the Third Party evaluation.
of KVKs. During the last three years i.e. 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 financial assistance of Rs.909.89 Crore, Rs.979.73 Crore and Rs.1150.21 Crore, respectively has been provided to KVKs. During 2021-22, an amount of Rs.1260.81 crore has been allocated for the KVK Scheme.
