Question : UPGRADATION OF RUNWAYS AT DIBRUGARH AND MARGHERITA LEDO AIRPORTS

(a) the present status of the construction of terminal building and expansion of runway at Dibrugarh Airport;

(b) the time by which the work is likely to be completed;

(c) whether the Government has decided to upgrade the Margherita Ledo Airstrip in Tinsukia District;

(d) if so, the details thereof; and

(e) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b) :Construction work of Terminal building is in progress and is likely to be completed by June, 2007. The expansion of runway work is held up due to land dispute.
