(a) the details of the agricultural produce procured at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) during the years 2017-18 and 2018-19, district-wise;
(b) the percentage of the production in terms of agricultural produce procured in Uttar Pradesh and the details thereof, district/division-wise;
(c) the total amount spent in this regard and the amount paid to the farmers; and
(d) the name of the head under which the amount was spent and the total amount spent by Uttar Pradesh, district/division-wise?

(a): The details of the agricultural produce procured at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) during the years 2017-18 and 2018-19 are at Annexure-I to Annexure-V.
(b): The details of production, procurement and its percentage of agriculture produce procured at MSP in the state of Uttar Pradesh are at Annexure-VI and Annexure-VII.
(c) & (d): Government extends price support for procurement operations of wheat, rice and coarse grains to the procuring agencies of the State Governments by reimbursing the expenses on procurement of foodgrains through allocated food subsidy budget regularly. Further, to ensure smooth procurement of oilseeds, pulses and cotton at MSP, Government Guarantee has been provided to lender Banks for extending credit facility to central procuring agencies (which is revised from time to time based on the requirement) to undertake procurement operations. These funds are revolving in nature. However, Budget is allocated for reimbursement of the losses, if any, incurred by Central procuring agencies. Under these schemes MSP is paid to farmers for their produce.
