STATEMENT IN REPLY TO THE LOK SABHA UN-STARRED QUESTION NO. 1966 FOR 08.03.2011

(a): Statement as on 01.01.2011 is as per Annexure-“A”

(b): Yes Madam.

(c) & (d): The Kamal Kumar Committee made its recommendations, inter-alia on the process of determining the IPS cadre strength, Recruitment Plan, Filling up Promotion Quota Vacancies, Training and Change Management Needs and Requirement of IPS officers for CPOs. Significant recommendations made therein and action taken by the Government thereon are as follows:
