(a): Yes, Sir.
(b): The cost of construction of a fisherman house under the âNational Scheme of
Welfare of Fishermenâ is shared by the Central and State Government on 50:50 basis.
The Government of India sanctioned 5000 fishermen houses to the State of Karnataka in
2004-05 involving total cost of Rs.1500 lakh of which Central share was Rs.750 lakh.
The Central share of Rs.300 lakh for construction of fishermen houses under Mathsya
Ashraya-II has been released to Karnataka till date.
