(a) the details of rehabilitation drive taken so far for the surrendered militants from the North-East States and Assam;
(b) the details of rehabilitation policy, the number of benefited militants, the fund allocated and spent during each of the last three years and the current year, State-wise;
(c) whether the Government is also considering to undertake such rehabilitation measures in other parts of the country as well; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a): The Central Government is implementing `a scheme for surrender-cum rehabilitation of militants of North-East States including Assam w.e.f. 1.4.1998. This scheme was revised on 1.4.2005. The Government is implementing a special Scheme for Surrender-cum-Rehabilitation of militants for the State of Manipur w.e.f. 5.12.2012.
The objective of the Scheme is to wean away the misguided youth and hardcore militants who have strayed into the fold of militancy and later find themselves trapped into that net. The Scheme also seeks to ensure that the militants who have surrendered do not find it attractive to join militancy again.

(b): As per the Surrender-cum-Rehabilitation policy, one time grant/money, monthly stipend, incentives for surrendered weapons are given to the surrenderees as a rehabilitation package. The surrenderees are initially lodged in rehabilitation camp where they are imparted training in a trade/vocation of their liking or befitting their aptitude. Pursuant to this policy of the Government, a total of 9603 cadres of various militant groups of NE region have surrendered during the period from 2005 to 15th November, 2015. State-wise details of the amount reimbursed during the last 3 financial years and the current year to the State Governments of North-East Region against the surrender-cum-rehabilitation policy are as follows:
