(a) whether the Government propose to amend the legal structure for the education and development of children;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the proposal to constitute National Level Commission having legal powers to check the exploitation of children has since been implemented;

(e) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a)&(b) The Constitution (Eighty Third amendment) Bill to make provision for the right to free and compulsory education for children in the age group of 6-14 years a Fundamental Right and also to make it a Fundamental Duty of every citizen, who is a parent or guardian, to provide opportunity for education to children in the age group of 6- 14 years, is under consideration of the Government.

(c),(d)&(e) The proposal to set up a National Commission for Children is under consideration of the Government.
