(a) whether the Government has conducted any recent survey to find out major contributors of air pollution in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government has prepared any policy to promote electric vehicles as an alternate to diesel, petrol run vehicles in metro cities of the country; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a)& (b)As per several studies conducted across the country the major contributors of air pollution inter alia include road dust suspension, vehicular emissions, biomass/garbage burning, construction& demolition activities and industrial emissions.
(c)& (d) The Central Government has approved the proposal for implementation of scheme titled ‘Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles in India Phase II (FAME India Phase II)’ for promotion of Electric Mobility in the country.
