(a) to (d): Yes, Madam. The Government has floated a Request for Qualification (RFQ), inviting applications from the corporate sector for the operation and maintenance of the five SAI stadia in Delhi after the conduct of the Commonwealth Games, 2010. The last date for submitting applications is 23-08-2010. After that the eligible bidders will be provided with Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for submitting their financial bids. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has engaged a Transaction Advisor to assist in the process of short-listing prospective bidders and selecting the concessionaires for managing the stadia on a Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. The stadia covered by this process are Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Complex, Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Sports Complex, and Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges. It is proposed to make the stadia financially viable with optimal utilization of the sporting as well as commercial potential.
