MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT(SHRI M.A.A. FATMI)
(a)to (c) :As per the information furnished by All India
Council for Technical Education (AICTE), there is a demand for
technical manpower both within the country and in the global
market. AICTE accords approval for establishment of new
technical institutes based on such demand and as supported by
respective State Governments. Further, the recent expansion in
technical education has been largely in the emerging areas of
technology such as Electronics, Information Technology and Bio-
Technology, keeping pace with the global trend. Of late, major
employment opportunities have been in these emerging areas of
Technology particularly Information Technology. With a view to
promote entrepreneurship among students and to promote the
concept of âJob Providers rather than Job Seekersâ, AICTE is
operating a scheme, namely, âEntrepreneurship and Management
Development Programmeâ.
