Question : Flights to International Destinations

(a) whether the Government has taken a decision to commence operations of flights to international destinations viz. Singapore, Malaysia, Kuwait, Dubai etc.;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the time by which these flights would commence their operations?

STATEMENT TO PART (A) TO (C) REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION (*) NO. 142 DUE FOR ANSWER ON 28.12.2017 REGARDING FLIGHTS TO INTERNATIONAL DESTINATIONS.; (a) Government has no role in commencement of flight operations. International operations are governed by the availability of bilateral traffic rights and commercial judgement of the airlines. Government does not interfere in the operational plans of airline operators. Indian carriers are currently operating to/from 33 countries including Singapore, Kuwait, and Dubai. Besides this Malaysia had also been served by the Indian carrier till January 2017. (b) & (c) Do not arise
