Question : CENTRAL COUNCIL FOR RESEARCH IN AYURVEDA AND SIDDHA

(a) whether the Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha (CCRAS) under Department of AYUSH is recognised as scientific Organisation by Department of Science and Technology;

(b) if so, whether the time bound promotional scheme is available in other Scientific /Medical Organisations like CSIR, ICMR/CGHS has been extended to CCRAS;

(c) if so, the details thereof; and

(d) if not, the steps taken by the Dept. of AYUSH to implement the same?

(a) The CCRAS has been recognized as a Scientific & Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research.

(b) to (d) The promotional Schemes available in CSIR/ICMR/CGHS etc. have not been extended to the CCRAS.

A proposal for extension of Flexible Complimentary Scheme to the CCRAS is under consideration.
