(a) whether national and international level tournaments scheduled to be held in India in 2020 have been cancelled;
(b) if so, the details of the national and international events which have been cancelled due to COVID-19;
(c) whether the Government is planning to conduct any national or international level sporting events in 2021; and
(d) the measures being taken by the Government to restart sporting events at the earliest?

(a): Yes, Sir.
(b) The details of the national and international events which have been cancelled due to COVID-19 aregiven at Annexure - I.
(c) National and International level tournaments are conducted by the respective National Sports Federations. The details of the national and international events to be held in India in 2021 aregiven at Annexure - II.Further, under Annual Sports Competitions vertical of Khelo India Scheme, Khelo India Youth Games is scheduled to be held in 2021 at Panchkula, Haryana.
(d) To ensure smooth organisation of sporting events, this Ministry has issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)and Guidelines for opening up of Stadia for sports events in consultation with Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The SOP covers COVID appropriate behaviour; planning for operations, scheduling and monitoring of activities including availability of COVID related supplies, spectator management; and arrangement of medical centreduring the event. Further, National Coaching Camps have been resumed for the 2021 Olympic bound athletes. All athletes and support personnel are required to observe the SOP during the sports competitions.
