(a)whether the Government is aware of the state of utter neglect of ‘Bibi ka Makbara’ in Aurangabad (Maharashtra) despite recent grant of Rs.3 crore for its maintenance;
(b)if so, the reasons therefor;
(c) the expenditure incurred on the monument for maintenance during the last three years; and
(d) the steps taken by the Government for proper maintenance of the said monument?

(a) to (d) Bibi -ka- Maqbara is maintained in good condition. It has also been identified as one of the monuments to be taken up for comprehensive development and maintenance under Phase II of JBIC(Japan Bank of International Cooperation) Project as per the recommendations of the International panel of experts constituted under the project.
Expenditure incurred during past three years on structural conservation, chemical preservation and environmental development of Bibi -ka- Maqbara is as under:
