Question : Registration of Yoga and Naturopathy Practitioners

Will the Minister of AYURVEDA, YOGA AND NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY (AYUSH) be pleased to state:

(a) the details of the AYUSH institutions in West Bengal, district-wise and medicine field-wise;

(b) the details of the registering authority for Yoga and Naturopathy practitioners in West Bengal;

(c) whether the same has been standardised by the Government; and

(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the measures being taken by the Government to register such practitioners in West Bengal till the National standardization process is developed?

(a): The district-wise and medicine field-wise details of AYUSH Institutions are placed at Annexure.
(b): West Bengal Council of Yoga and Naturopathy (Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal, AYUSH Branch) Constituted under the West Bengal Yoga & Naturopathic System of Medicine Act, 2010, Room No.107, 1st Floor, Purta Bhawan, DF Block, Sector-I, Bidhan Nagar, Kolkata-91.

(c) & (d): Ministry of AYUSH has authorised Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy (CCRYN) to grant Central Registration to Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Science (BNYS) graduates from recognised health universities/ universities those who have already registered with State AYUSH Boards.
