Question : Udyam Registration Portal

(a) the number of MSME registrations recorded under the Udyam Registration portal of the Government, State-wise;

(b) whether the Government had made it mandatory for its units, including CPSEs to release payments or dues to MSMEs within 45 days under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Scheme and if so, the details thereof;

(c) the total amount of such payments made to MSMEs since the announcement of the scheme and the total number of MSMEs which have been benefited from the payment;

(d) the total amount of pending dues to MSMEs which have taken more than 45 days as on date and the total number of MSMEs awaiting such payment and the reasons for the delay; and

(e) whether the Government is continuously monitoring the expedited release of the payments and if so, the details thereof?

(a): The number of MSMEs Registered under Udyam Registration w.e.f. 01.07.2020 is at annexure-I.

(b) to (d): Yes, Sir. After the announcement made by the Hon’ble Finance Minister under Atma Nirbhar Bharat, the Ministry has created a special sub-portal within SAMADHAAN to track the delayed payment to the MSMEs from the CPSEs. From May 2020 to 18.03.2021, dues of Rs 36959.21 crore have been settled through this Portal and total amount of pending dues to MSMEs as on 18.03.2021 is Rs. 10386.1 crore . Transaction in business is a continuous process in which some amount is always stuck up in the business process.

(e): Ministry of MSME has written to other Central Ministries/Departments/State Govt. for the clearance of pending dues to MSEs. Government has taken many steps to get the dues payable to the MSMEs cleared by public sector units of State and Central Governments. The Ministry has taken up the subject vigorously with the Central Ministries, CPSEs and State Governments and Corporate World.
