Question : Water Hydrant at Sirsa

(a) whether the Ministry has received any request regarding provision of water hydrant at Sirsa station in Haryana;

(b) if so, the details thereof and the action taken so far by the Ministry; and

(c) the list of works completed/sanctioned for the development of the stations under her Lok Sabha Constituency by the Railways since 2019?

(a) & (b): Yes, Sir. The proposal of provision of water hydrant has been included in the soft upgradation of Sirsa Station.

(c): High level platform have been provided at Sirsa, Suchan-Kotli, Ding, Kalanwali, Surera & Bhattu railway stations falling under Sirsa constituency. In addition, a monumental flag has been erected at Sirsa Railway Station. Further, the work of soft upgradation of Sirsa Station and extension of passenger platform No.1 & 2 at Mandidabwali & Ellenabad station to accommodate 24 coaches for the convenience of passengers has been sanctioned.
Further upgradation / modernization of stations on Indian Railways is a continuous and on-going process and priority is accorded to higher category of stations over lower category of stations while sanctioning and executing the works depending upon need, volume of passenger traffic and availability of funds.
