Question : EXTENSION OF SANGAM EXPRESS

(a) whether the Government propose to extend Sangam Express 4164/4163 up to Saharanpur which is plying between Allahabad and Meerut;

(b) if so, specify the timeframe;

(c) whether the proposal of extending Sangam Express up to Saharanpur has been received through public representatives and social organizations;

(d) if so, the action taken by the Government in this regard; and

(e) if not, the reasons therefor?

(d) & (e): Demands for extension of 4163/ 4164 Allahabad-Meerut Sangam Express from Meerut to Saharanpur have been received but the same has not been possible due to operational constraints such as terminal and path constraints.
