(a) whether the Government has taken note of opium grown for medicinal
purposes being diverted to party circuits cross the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether any international ring of heroin manufacturers and suppliers has been busted in
the country recently;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) the action taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) & (b): Government is not aware as no case has been reported of opium grown for medicinal
purpose being diverted to party circuits across the country.
(c) & (d): The details of heroin rings having suspected international link busted in the
country are at Annexure – 1 and 2.
(e): The action taken by the Government in general in this regard is at Annexure-3.
