(a) whether the National Film Development Corporation(NFDC) has decided to give
sub-title to films, documentaries and serials in video format in Chennai;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the producers of films and documentaries can market it to various countries
through the NFDC; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a)&(b): Yes, Sir. National Film Development Corporation has facilities to sub-title
films and documentaries in Video format in its Regional Office at Chennai since
October, 2001.
(c)&(d): Yes, Sir. National Film Development Corporation markets films by acquiring
the rights for overseas for which it charges commission. NFDC also purchases the
rights of Indian films on royalty basis for telecast on Doordarshan and other satellite
channels.
