Question : NON-AVAILABILITY OF RAILWAY WAGONS

(a) whether any representation has been received from the Amritsar Exporters Chamber of Commerce about non-availability of railway wagons at Amritsar Railway Station;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the steps taken to ensure the regular availability of railway wagons at the Amritsar Railway Station alongwith the measures being taken to promote exports?

(a) : Yes, Sir.

(b) & (c) : Since the acceptance of traffic by Pakistan Railways is limited, the high level of demand from exporters could not be met. Necessary steps have been taken to supply wagons to meet all pending demands. As on date, there is no pending demand for Pakistan.
