(a) the name of the language to be used for imparting primary education as provided under the Right to Education Act, 2009;

(b) whether the State Governments have not complied with the provisions of the Act; and

(c) if so, the action taken by the Union Government in this regard?

(a): Clause (f) of sub-section (2) of section 29 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009 provides that the medium of instruction shall, as far as practicable, be in the child’s mother tongue.

(b) & (c) It is the duty of the appropriate Government (Central Government and State Governments) and the local authority to implement the provisions of the RTE Act.
