(a) Whether the Union Government has approved Metro rail project in Patna, Bihar;
(b) if so, the details thereof indicating the estimated cost of the said project along with the amount of financial assistance likely to be provided by the Union Government;
(c) whether any target has been fixed by the Union Government to complete the said project; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d): Yes, Sir. The Government of India has approved Patna Metro Rail Project on 27.02.2019 at a total completion cost of Rs. 13,365.77 crores. In terms of the approved funding pattern of the project, the amount of financial assistance to be provided by the Union Government for the said project is Rs 7,361.24 crores in the form of Equity (Rs 1,441.12 crores), Subordinate Debt (Rs 399.19 crores) and Pass Through Assistance (Rs 5,520.93 crores). The project is scheduled to be completed in 05 years from the date of approval.
